The Yoga Journey Begins 🐫
Since I’ve been away from Queology.net, I have realized how therapeutic writting is for me, and how effective my blog provides me platform to be the author of my own story, like a public memoir, or dairy. I know that I am capable of so much more than you have seen from me, and with the platform of my personal blog, I intend to do it.
When I originally created this website, I did so with the intention that if other people aren’t going to give me my own platform to promote myself, my gifts, and talents, then I am not going to sit around and wait for anybody to invest in me, I will invest into my damn self. Blogging has not only become a hobby for me, but a form of self care, a therapy session with my higher self.
Last Summer I got introduced to ‘Be Love Yoga Studio’ ॐ, and the practice of yoga. Since then, yoga has been consistent practice, and a personal necessity to balance my mind, body, and spirit. After getting to know the owners of the yoga studio Hailey, and Joe, and expressing my desire to grow in the practice, they also expressed to me a desire for more people of color to teach yoga at their studio, witch then birthed the idea to train to teach my own yoga class that resonates with me. After doing some research I found a popular African American form of yoga called ‘Kemetic Yoga.’ The owners of ‘Be Love Yoga Studio’ॐ kindly organized a GoFundMe account to raise 1’400$ for me to take Kemetic Yoga trainings classes to get my certification last fall.
Kemetic Yoga is the ancient Egyptian ☥𓆣𓂀𓆃 system of Yoga enlightenment based upon the practices of physical movements, combined with controlled deep breathing, and meditation. After about three months of raising money, and receiving generous donations from friends, and family, I successful made my target goal, and I am now training to teach ‘Kemetic Yoga’ through https://kemeticyogaskills.com
Yoga is not easy, it’s a practice that requires dedication, and commitment to master. Just like going to the gym requires the right mindset to keep a routine in order to see results. When i come to practice I feel anxious, and a little nervous sometimes because of the physical pain, but when I leave practice, I always leave feeling complete rejuvenated. the practice of yoga will certainly push me far out of my comfort zone, but it’s the only way to grow. The yoga journey begins.
